Wild-havested  from my Herbal Garden – Mugwort, Comfrey Leaves, Lavender, Lemon Balm, Camomile, Heritage White Rose Petals.

Mugwort – Artemisia vulgaris

properties: emmenagogue, cardiac tonic, antispasmodic, nervier, diuretic, carminative. Mugwort is an excellent nervine for uncontrollable shaking, nervousness and insomnia.

Comfrey – Symphytum officinale

Properties: tonic, demulcent, expectorant, vulnerable, astringent. Comfrey tea may help speed the healing of minor skin wounds because comfrey roots and leaves contain a chemical compound called allantoin that may stimulate the growth of new skin cells, according to Castleman. Drinking this tea may also be useful for healing burns, bed sores, insect bites.

Comfrey tea may help reduce the appearance and speed the healing of bruises, according to Phyllis Balch, author of “Prescription for Nutritional Healing.” It may also help reduce bleeding from skin wounds, and may help stop nosebleeds. Comfrey leaves and roots contain tannins, which have an astringent effect on blood vessels. These tannins are the components of comfrey responsible for bleeding control.

Greek healers recommended comfrey tea as a remedy for gastrointestinal problems, such as heartburn and indigestion, as early as the first century, according to Castleman. Comfrey tea may sooth your digestive tract, preventing abdominal discomfort and heartburn.

Lemon balm – Melissa officinalis

Properties: Diaphoretic, calmative, antispasmodic, carminative, emmenagogue, stomachache.

The best application of lemon balm is as a calming diaphoretic for treatment of fevers. Since it remove surface tension from the body, it is effective as a treatment for nervous tension and depression. Lemon balm can also be used like other mints, for upset stomach and gas.

Lavender – consolida regalis (Delphinium consolida)

Properties: aromatic, carminative, antispasmodic, antidepressant.

It is used as a nervine and antidepressant is in keeping with the gentle tendency of plants with blue and purple-ish flowers to have a cooling and nervine properties. A good formula for emotional upset and nervous depression.
